No theatres?  No problem. Our team at Original-Cin cares, and is continuing to keep you on top of the latest  additions to the streaming-verse.

On Netflix, Liam Lacey reviews the animated comedy, The Willoughbys (Rating: B-plus) a mock gothic kid's tale from Newbery-Award winner, Lois Lowry, about a group of children who send their parents on a long vacation,  with a voice-cast that includes Martin Short, Jane KrakowskiSeán Cullen, Will Forte, Maya Rudolph, and Ricky Gervais.

Netflix has also unleashed Extraction (C) which, despite the title, is not a timely instructional movie for at-home dentistry -  though a few teeth are rattled as mercenary Chris Hemsworth, saves the son of an Indian drug kingpin, while kicking, shooting, punching and strangling his way through Dhaka, Bangladesh..

Remember reality? We reviewed four documentaries this past week: They Call Us Warriors (B minus), an inspirational look at the Venezuelan women's under-17 soccer team, which is available on iTunes.  Canadian director, Céline Baril's 24 Davids (B minus) finds the common humanity in a group of men from different countries who share the same first name. It's available for free on the National Film Board of Canada's website.

Bush got the news of the second plane hitting the World Trade Centre building.

Originally scheduled for this year's Hot Docs International Film Festival, 9/11 Kids can be seen on CBC Gem app.

Finally, our Bonnie Laufer talked to 18-year-old first-time actor, Mississauga's Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, who used her nerd power to beat out 15,000 other girls to star in the new, well-reviewed Mindy Kaling Netflix series. Never Have I Ever.

Please check in with Original-Cin.ca  for more new releases through the week. We're not going anywhere either.
